Beginning stories, Ending Journeys

What others are saying...

Davia Sutton Compelling

The silences in this book are as potent as the words themselves. This book plunges you into the raw experience of disconnection, the frustrating dance of trying to express the inexpressible. It's a journey through a fractured landscape of self, where communication feels like building bridges with broken pieces

This is such a heartwarming story from the past. Truly raw and unfiltered, makes me yearn for an era I wasn't born in. My only wish is that this book was longer.

About The Author

After leaving his position as an interventional cardiologist, teacher, international scholar and inventor during a 45 year career at the Mayo Clinic, David Holmes shifted his passions to Creative Writing and Poetry with the goal of keeping the light burning.

This memoir book tells the story of how he came to this dance, born from the marriage of two very different people. “Marriage is never easy and never ever perfect. Along the way, more baggage will need to be shouldered and carried because there will be tragedies, illnesses, births, deaths, religious differences, substance abuse, loneliness and misunderstanding of the rules important to the spouse. In our family, belief in the fundamental goodness of others, acceptance of self and spouse, the ability to laugh at oneself, forbearance, perseverance and sometimes blind fortune were the things that they carried with them.
